Assistant Director
Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare
Pomona, California, United States
I have been working as a clinical scientist in the neurorehabilitation field for almost 20 years. I focus my research on brain-injured patients with Disorders of Consciousness (DOC) and, more particularly, on the assessment of their brain activity and cognitive functions using behavioral, electrophysiological and neuroimaging techniques. I have published more than 110 articles (H-index: 54) in international peer reviewed journals such as Neurology, Annals of Neurology, Nature Reviews Neurology and Lancet. I serve as the chair of the Special Interest Group on DOC for the International Brain Injury Association and I am actively involved in the Curing Coma Campaign. I currently work as assistant director of the Research Institute at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare (Pomona, CA) and I have a volunteer appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
