Susan M. Linder, DPT, NCS, PhD
Dr. Linder is a physical therapist and Primary Investigator in the Neurorestorative Rehabilitation Lab within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Cleveland Clinic, and serves as Director of Research for the Department of PM&R. She is also an associate professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, and adjunct professor at Cleveland State University. Dr. Linder’s research has focused on investigating the role of aerobic exercise on neuroplasticity in individuals with stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. She has recently demonstrated improvements in walking capacity and gait biomechanics in individuals with stroke following a high-intensity cycling intervention. Her work also involves investigating cost-effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions, and specifically, aerobic exercise training and its global effects on brain and cardiovascular health.
