Lisa Reber, PhD in Justice Studies, is a qualitative methodologist with the University of Michigan’s Rehabilitation, Research, and Training Center. She has a non-traditional, interdisciplinary background and extensive expertise in navigating international and intercultural experiences. Her research foci reflect her interests in health inequities, the social determinants of health, and partnering with marginalized populations to better understand the social systems that perpetuate inequality. Her recent research with people with disabilities builds on her previous work with migrant workers in Dubai, UAE, and reflects her desire to ensure that the research she conducts has the potential to make tangible contributions to reducing disparities in health and well-being and improving lives.
