Associate Professor Emma Power is a speech pathologist and academic at the University of Technology Sydney. She has worked in the area of communication disorders following acquired brain injury for over 25 years in a variety of clinical and academic positions. Emma’s research and teaching interests include communication partner training, health services/implementation science research, psychosocial interventions in neurorehabiliation, with a focus on digital health and codesign. Emma is recognised nationally and internationally for her research and teaching in acquired communication disorders. She has published over 109 peer reviewed publications and obtained $16+ million worth of grant funding. Emma has provided keynote, plenary and invited talks on ABI neurorehabilitation, implementation and codesign in Australia (52), and internationally (21). Emma has also won awards for excellence for her curriculum development in neurogenic communication disorders.
