Shan-Pin Fanchiang OTR/L, Ph.D. is an occupational therapist. She works as an education coordinator, director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Dissemination and Knowledge Translation, and conducts clinical research at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, one of the County hospitals in the Department of Health Services, County of Los Angeles. She is also a faculty member at the Department of Internal Medicine, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Fanchiang helps people overcome the challenges of daily living imposed on them by illnesses such as diabetes, traumatic brain injury, and movement disorders. Her scholarly interests include health literacy, lifestyle with app use, telehealth, estimating adherence for knowledge translation, measuring what people do in their own environment and the use of the ECHO (Extension of Community Healthcare Outcome) Model for the implementation of evidence-based practice.
