Jean K. Gordon is an Associate Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Iowa and an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist. She obtained her master's and doctoral degrees at McGill University in Montreal, and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before joining the faculty at Iowa. Professor Gordon studies word retrieval and other aspects of language production and its breakdown in typically aging adults and individuals with aphasia, and teaches courses on neurogenic language and cognitive disorders.
