Research on Complementary and Integrative Medicine (CIM) which advances self-management strategies has grown progressively. But publicly available databases focusing on CIM has not been investigated. We aim to overcome this gap by conducting a scoping review. Studies written in English using CIM on any conditions, age, and study designs will be included. Fifteen databases and additional resources such as grey literature and web pages will be searched. Information on study characteristics, CIM intervention, participant characteristics, study methods, and outcomes will be retrieved. We will then evaluate the evidence on CIM and identify gaps in published CIM literature.
