This symposium will provide the attendee with three distinct perspectives about making decisions related to potential concussion on the sidelines of pediatric sports. Perspectives of parent, coach and health-care professional will be presented from a quantitative, qualitative and evidence-based practice perspective. Attendees will walk away understanding the unique challenges each of these stakeholders faces when considering sport-related concussion on the sidelines of a youth athletic event.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees of this symposium will describe the challenges of sideline evaluation for concussion in the pediatric population.
Attendees of this symposium will compare and contrast parent, coach and health-care provider perspectives on the sideline decision-making process to remove a pediatric player from athletic activity.
Attendees of this symposium will identify barriers to stakeholder decision-making when faced with a potential concussion during an athletic activity.
