After nearly three years in private practice as a Physiatrist, I chose to return to an academic medical center and am excited to have research be a part of my academic appointment. I am a board-certified Physiatrist specializing in Neurorehabilitation, and my clinical practice focuses on returning patients to their previous level of function and optimizing their physical well-being. I am fellowship trained in the management of spasticity, a type of muscle tightness often seen in patients with after a stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, or brain injuries. I also have extensive training in the use of botulinum toxins (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport) to treat upper and lower extremity spasticity, as well as torticollis/cervical dystonia (tight muscles in the neck), sialorrhea (excessive drooling), and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
