Dr. Debasree DasGupta is an Assistant Professor of Health Education and Promotion (HEP) in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science at Utah State University. She received her doctoral degree in Public Policy from George Mason University Schar School of Policy and Government. Debasree specializes in spatial and econometric modeling of health using large datasets. Her current research is centered on analyzing geographic disparities in age-race segregation and older adult health status/outcomes (falls, mortality, mental health, disability). She teaches graduate courses for the online Master of Public Health–HEP program. Her teaching in the areas of statistics and epidemiology, research methods and spatial analysis, and social determinants of health and program planning is informed by perspectives and findings from her research.
