Kristyn Felman is a research coordinator and project manager with advanced degrees in both public health and social work. She has significant experience in research management and compliance, recruiting and engaging research subjects, and providing health education and decision-making support to families navigating the healthcare system. Kristyn currently manages a broad range of research and quality improvement projects focused on health care access, delivery, outcomes, and equity for children with disability and/or complex medical needs for Amy Houtrow, MD, PhD, MPH, Endowed Chair for Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Services at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She previously supported an NIH funded randomized control trial testing the impact of a complex communication support intervention on a health care decision makers’ psychological distress, the quality of decisions about goals of care, and healthcare usage.
