Michael Gevertzman received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Rutgers University, and a doctorate in physical therapy from Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He currently works in outpatient neurodegenerative physical therapy, and is a PhD student at UNLV. He conducts clinical research, serves as a part-time lecturer for UNLV's DPT program, and serves on the board of the Rutgers University Kinesiology & Health Alumni Committee. He is a Board-Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy, a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist, a Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery certified therapist, and holds a certificate in Vestibular Rehabilitation. His research interests include the development of personalized approaches to the management of neurodegenerative disease, understanding the factors underpinning neurorehabilitation, and the application of novel rehabilitation strategies to improve patient care.
