Corey Smith, MS, ATC attended Marietta College (OH) for his BS in Sports Medicine. He then served as Graduate Assistant while attending Eastern Kentucky University, where he earned his Master’s degree. Following one year as the Head Men’s Athletic Trainer at Chowan College (NC), Corey moved his family to Dallas, Texas. This began a 16 career with Texas Health Resources. Corey worked for THR as a PRN Athletic Trainer while working full time for a Physical Therapy clinic in Plano. While working for The Institute for Sports & Spine Rehabilitation, Corey worked with many club soccer and club lacrosse teams. He also worked with Junior College, College, and professional athletes. In 2012, Corey Smith was part of the team that opened the first dedicated concussion facility in Dallas. Corey later transitioned to being the supervisor of Texas Health Sports Medicine’s Athletic Training Outreach Program. This led to an opportunity to work as an Athletic Trainer in Business Development supporting physicians in Allen, TX. Corey served 2 years in Plano Independent School District as the Athletic Trainer at Clark High School. Corey began working for Baylor Scott & White SportsCare in August of 2020. As an Athletic Trainer, Corey prides himself on the relationships that he builds through providing great care to athletes and families in the community.
