I am a Rehabilitation Scientist and an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. I have a primary interest in the translation of clinical research to develop effective and feasible evidence-based wellness programs for individuals with cancer and other chronic medical conditions. After completing my clinical degree, I received PhD training to investigate the specific pathophysiologic mechanisms underlying chronic conditions and the interventions used to treat them. In my current position at the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center, I lead and manage research performed with the BfitBwell Cancer Exercise Program and other fitness programs for patients with chronic medical conditions. My current research focuses on the development and implementation of effective exercise programs for rural survivors of cancer and the incorporation of novel multi-omics analyses to inform exercise personalization.
