Srinivasan Sujatha received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA. She worked in the prosthetics industry for about eight years prior to starting her Ph.D. Since 2008, she has been at IIT Madras. She is currently a Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and heads the TTK Center for Rehabilitation Research and Device Development (R2D2), IIT Madras. Her research interests include biomechanics and mechanisms geared towards the development of assistive devices.
