Mackenzie Schanzlin is a student at Misericordia University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Specialty in Health Care Management. She is currently in the Physical Therapy Program at Misericordia University and will be graduating at the end of 2022 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. In undergraduate school Mackenzie conducted and presented research on the chemistry of exercise and DNA techniques. During her graduate studies her research focus was in the area of neurology ranging from neonatal to geriatrics. Some topics include dance therapy, fall preventions, and neonatal interventions. She hopes to present and publish her research in the future. Her goals after graduation are to sit for the boards, complete a pediatric residency, and continue to complete a neonatal fellowship. Her ambition and drive keeps her continuing to research new ideas. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2020 and a member of the pediatric section since 2022.
