Ms. Khan is a pioneer of the digital therapeutics field. She is the Founder and CEO of Pt Pal, the first mobile patient-clinician rehabilitation communication technology in hospitals. Pt Pal is used in world-class hospitals and is shown to improve patient outcomes. Apple’s healthcare team and the Pt Pal team used Pt Pal to develop HealthKit, ResearchKit and Carekit (iOS) and Researchstack (Android).
Pt Pal became the first healthcare technology to be featured by Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Prior to inventing Pt Pal, Naveen was a director at the Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital, and earlier she was recruited to the position of the Chief Operating Officer at a technology company in Canada. She also worked as a researcher and trial consultant and worked on over 200 multi-million-dollar cases. While trial consulting she built research technology that analyzed and reported respondents results. Before moving back to the United States, she worked as a global business analyst in London at second largest investment firm in the world while completing a Law degree and developed a search engine for investment portfolios globally. Prior to working at an investment bank in London she was recruited by the British American Business Council in Los Angeles to undertake a business associate position. She received her B.A. (Hons) from the University of Sheffield, a top 24 Russell Group of world-class universities, ranked within the top in the United Kingdom. Her research and policy recommendations conducted while at the University of Sheffield on funding for non-traditional forms of education and education and training for people with special needs have been implemented by the government of the United Kingdom. While studying she also built and ran a successful advertising company, eventually handing it over to the next cohort of students to run. In addition, she helped build the first domestic violence/family justice center in Los Angeles.
