Katherine Janov is currently in her 5th year of study in the Speech-Language Pathology Program at Duquesne University. In May 2022, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, and in August 2023, she will graduate with her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Katherine is a member of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and was the former Secretary of the Duquesne University American Sign Language Club.
During the second semester of her first year of undergraduate studies, and during the first year of her graduate studies, Katherine participated in research focused on reading practices for people with aphasia. Currently, Katherine is enjoying her second year of her graduate studies and is looking forward to gaining more experience collaborating interprofessionally as she enters her career.
Outside of academics, Katherine has been involved in University activities during her time at Duquesne. She has maintained membership with the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association for five years and the Duquesne University American Sign Language Club for four years, two of which she served as Secretary. In her first year of graduate school, Katherine also completed three road-running races, including the 2022 Pittsburgh Half Marathon, and intends to complete the 2022 Columbus Marathon.
