Soomin Kim is a Ph. D. student in the Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences, Department of Health Sciences, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine. Before coming to the States, she worked as a medical SLP in Seoul, South Korea. Her research focus includes neurogenic speech-language disorders, early differential diagnosis of degenerative communication disorders, and implementation of acoustic analysis for developing diagnostic tools.
