Kathleen Jordan is a Research Engineer in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. Kathleen has been working at the Rehabilitation Engineering and Applied Research (REAR) Lab since 2018. Her areas of research include the use of assistive technology in everyday life and tissue health and pressure injury prevention. She has investigated the effectiveness and usability of various in-seat activity trackers designed to improve weight shift behaviors in wheelchair users. She has also studied the physiological and mechanical characteristics of tissue that may contribute a person's risk of developing a pressure injury.
