Olivier Lambercy is a Senior Scientist (tenure) and the ad-interim Director of the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich. Hee studied Microengineering at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, where he received the MSc degree in 2005. He completed his PhD at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009. During his PhD, he investigated robot-assisted rehabilitation of hand function after stroke and participated in the design and development of four dedicated robotic devices for forearm, hand and finger rehabilitation. He joined ETH Zürich and the Rehabilitation Engineering Lab in 2009, to continue his research on robot-assisted hand rehabilitation and the use of new technological approaches to improve assessments of upper limb function in neurological subjects. Olivier Lambercy is a board member of the International Consortium for Rehabilitation Robotics, a member and principal investigator at the Singapore-ETH Center as part of the Future Health technologies program, Scientific Advisor to the ETH spin-off AUXIVO, and an Associate Editor in the Journal of Neuroengineering and Rehabilitation.
