I am a Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics at University of Florida. I was trained by biostatistians in cancer research (Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Buffalo, NY), and successfully developed multiple biostatistical tools for cancer clinical trials, including adaptive designs for two-stage designs in early phase trials, and efficient confidence intervals for studies designed by adaptive approaches which have been used in data analysis for Phase 2 cancer trials (e.g., bladder cancer). Since the formation of the NIH/NIGMS funded COBRE grant, Center for Neurodegeneration and Translational Neurosciences (CNTN), a translational research enterprise led by Dr. Cummings.in 2015, I have started working with neuroscience researchers for clinical trial design and data analysis for AD and Parkinson’s disease. Together with the co-investigators in this proposal, I have published 20 journal articles in AD journals and statistical journals for novel statistical approaches to analyze data from AD research.
