Miriam Carroll-Alfano is an Associate Professor at Midwestern University in Downers Grove and Certified Brain Injury Specialist. She has been a speech-language pathologist for over 22 years working with adults with neurogenic communications disorders, head and neck cancer, and swallowing disorders. Her research interests include concussion, laryngectomy, and aphasia. She serves on several committees including the ACRM Aphasia and Other Communication Disorders Task Force, The Illinois Speech and Hearing Association Medical Practice Committee, and is Chair of the ANCDS Membership Committee.
