Brandon Amirian is currently a 4th year medical student at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He is originally from Long Island, NY and went to Emory University for his undergraduate education where he doubled-majored in biology and economics. In addition to SUNY Downstate, Brandon has worked in various research capacities at institutions such as Maimonides Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center, Jacobi Medical Center and has experience with writing papers and working in wet-labs. He served on the executive board on the Downstate Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Interest Group and volunteers with Brooklyn Free Clinic, Project TEACH and Special Olympics New York, among other organizations. He has taken an interest in and been exposed to the field of rehabilitation via his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program at SUNY Downstate.
