Dr. Liteplo completed an emergency medicine residency at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY, and subsequently an emergency ultrasound fellowship at St. Luke's-Rosevelt Hospital in New York, NY. Since that time he has been an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital where he founded the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship. He is now the Chief of the Division of Emergency Ultrasound at Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally, has held leadership positions in the Academy of Emergency Ultrasound and the Society of Clinical Ultrasound Fellowships, and has won numerous awards for excellence in research and in education.
