My current program of research is focused on applications of virtual technologies to enhance Veteran engagement during evidence-based treatments for chronic pain management. This includes demonstration of feasibility and clinical efficacy of virtual-assisted care to improve adherence and subsequent treatment outcomes. These interests are influenced by my VA clinical training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP) and my Clinical Health Psychology doctoral training which emphasized chronic illness management.
