Mrs. Wirth is a Research Health Science Specialist with the Center of Innovation for Complex Chronic Healthcare at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s in public health.
Mrs. Wirth has been with the VA for over a three and works as a project manager for an evaluation of a telehealth program for national rollout and a second project that is researching how asymptomatic bacteriuria and urinary tract infections is managed in Veterans with neurogenic bladder. She has also worked on projects that are infectious disease focused, particularly Clostridium difficile and Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE).
