Ilona Rubi-Fessen, Ph. D., is a lecturer at the Faculty of Human Sciences in the Department of Pedagogy and Therapy of Speech and Language Disorders at the University of Cologne. She has more than 25 years of clinical experience as a certified speech-language therapist working with persons with acquired neurogenic communication disorders in a neurological rehabilitation clinic in Cologne, Germany. Her interests and current projects focus on the treatment of acute aphasia, the assessment and treatment of cognitive communication disorders, and the application of additive non-invasive brain stimulation in the treatment of aphasia.
