Dr. Kontson received her B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD in Biomedical Engineering. She is currently a Biomedical Research Engineer with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health, Office of Science and Engineering laboratories, and also serves as a regulatory consultant to the Office of Product Evaluation and Quality Human Factors Review Team. Her current research interests include clinical outcome assessment development for advanced prosthetics, characterization of variability in wearable devices, and human performance and ergonomic evaluation during the use of augmented reality and virtual reality devices.
