Mercedes Cunningham returns to the Hall after spending her academic Undergraduate and Graduate years in South Orange. Cunningham received her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from the School of Health and Medical Sciences in May of 2014 and her Bachelor of Science in Social and Behavioral Science in May of 2013.
She completed her work as a Graduate student through various clinical settings including Rutgers University, Atlantic Sports Health and Seton Hall. Prior to re-joining the Pirate staff, Cunningham was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Boston College primarily working with Field Hockey and Women’s Lacrosse. While in Massachusetts, Cunningham worked to implement preventative medicine for her teams, particularly in trying to decrease the risk of ACL tears. After returning to the Hall, Cunningham has specialized in working with the overhead athlete.
