Jay L. Alberts earned his PhD from Arizona State University and currently holds the position of Vice Chair of Clinical Transformation, Director of the Cleveland Clinic Concussion Center, and the “Edward F. and Barbara A. Bell Family Endowed Chair” at the Cleveland Clinic. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Alberts was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Physiology at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Alberts’ career has been focused on how exercise can modify the disease process in neurological disease including Parkinson’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and concussion. In 2014, he was awarded to F. Mason Sones Award, the top innovation award at the Cleveland Clinic for his work in mobile technology to measure objective outcomes.
