Mandy Miller Koop graduated with her PhD from Stanford University in mechanical engineering and is currently a Project Scientist at the Learner Research Institute at Cleveland Clinic. Prior to the joining the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Miller Koop spent over 9 years as a lead research engineer in the Movement Disorders Center at Stanford Medical Hospital. She has devoted her career to developing quantitative measures of movement performance to aid in diagnosis of neurological diseases and injuries, and measure efficacy of therapies such as medication and deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease. She has over 30 publications in the field of quantitative motor control.
