Christy Muncrief was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure Services with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Ms Muncrief then moved to San Antonio to pursue her career. She has experience in Adapted Sports and Recreation through Community Programs, post-acute Traumatic Brain Injury, spinal cord, amputation, stroke, and other neurological disorders through Inpatient Rehabilitation centers. She is trained in vision therapy and rehabilitation geared toward returning to drive for outpatients in the Brain Injury Rehab Service. She has worked for Brooke Army Medical Center Brain Injury Service since 2008. Ms Muncrief’s hobbies include: competitive sports, watersports, snowsports, swimming, hiking, gardening/landscaping, woodworking, home remodeling projects, cooking, traveling, dogs and spending time with family and friends.
