Nytzia E. Licona, DrPHc, MPH, CCTDM is a Research Program Analyst at the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System (VAPAHCS). She completed her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. She obtained her Clinical Trials Design and Management Training & Certificate at the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension Silicon Valley. She is currently working towards her Doctor of Public Health in Leadership & Informatics degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ms. Licona’s expertise is in epidemiological and clinical study design and management, data analysis, statistical methods, and surveillance. She has extensive experience working with large data sets, manuscript preparation and institutional review board regulations. Her research interests are related to functional and cognitive outcomes of traumatic brain injury patients. She is a Research Committee Member of the Polytrauma System of Care at VAPAHCS, and Program Leader for the Summer Intern Research Program at VAPAHCS.
