Dr. Weston completed her doctorate degree in the Behavioral and Community Sciences at the University of South Florida in 2021. She also earned her Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling and has worked in diverse community-based mental health roles. Her research interests include technology addiction with a concentration in video games and how technology affects developmental, social, and behavioral processes for adolescents and young adults. She has previous experience working on two federal grants aimed at implementing services to assist individuals with disabilities gain competitive employment. She currently works at her private practice assisting both youth and young adults in the community as a licensed clinician and creates educational material on appropriate and healthy technology usage for families and clinicians who work with problematic technology behaviors.
