I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy, primarily teaching adult content in assessment and intervention courses. I have a background in psychology and occupational therapy and worked as an occupational therapist for over 9 years before assuming my current position in academia. My areas of academic instruction and research have aligned with my clinical background in spinal cord injury. I teach courses in neurologic rehabilitation, mental health practice, and assistive technology. I have been involved in research projects involving neurologic populations, adaptive approaches to participation and engagement, and instructional design. I am currently working on a literature review of teaching practices for assistive technology education and collection of data on wheelchair use for survivors of stroke.
