John V. Rider, PhD, OTR/L, MSCS, is an Associate Professor in the School of Occupational Therapy at Touro University Nevada in Henderson, NV. He received a BA in Deaf Studies from Utah Valley University, an MS in Occupational Therapy from Touro University Nevada, and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with an emphasis on Rehabilitation Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has practiced as an occupational therapist across the lifespan and in multiple settings. He currently works as a community-based clinician treating neurodegenerative disorders and persistent pain. He is also a certified American Sign Language interpreter and interprets in medical and mental health settings.
