Elizabeth Lazar currently works as a part-time research assistant conducting follow-up interviews for the Traumatic Brain Injury Models Systems (TBIMS) Study at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH) Neurorehabilitation Laboratory in Boston, MA. She holds a bachelors degree in biopsychology/cognitive science (University of Michigan) and subsequently completed a dual-degree program at Tufts University, earning a MPH (Epidemiology/Biostatistics) and MS degree (Nutritional Biochemistry/Metabolism). Elizabeth was previously employed at the Jaeb Center for Health Research (JAEB) in Tampa, FL as a biostatistician conducting clinical trials of pediatric eye disorders for over 10 years. During her employment at JAEB, she provided support for study design/development, performed statistical analyses, and co-authored manuscripts for scientific journals and presentations. After sustaining a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in 2016, Elizabeth has focused her efforts on TBI research and wishes to use her research and academic background to make a meaningful contribution towards the goal of improving health outcomes and opportunities for those living with brain injury.
