Jason Mayerhofer has been with HSS since 2013 treating primarily in a direct access environment seeing both operative and non-operative patients with a variety of orthopedic diagnoses involving the shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and spine. He uses a variety of treatment methods, particularly manual therapy and functionally based exercises in order to restore function back to his patients. Since March of 2018, Jason currently oversees a partnership with Ivy Rehab, a for-profit rehab company with clinics throughout the country. As part of this collaboration, he oversees 20 clinics from daily operations to staff education and currently co-leads a co-branded Orthopedic Residency Program.
Jason serves as a faculty member for the Orthopedic Residency Program, the Direct Access Committee at HSS and the mentoring program at HSS. His current passions are teaching and mentoring as well as treating dancers. He is currently exploring the chronic pain realm in order to treat patients utilizing the biopsychosocial model.
