Luiza is currently in her fourth year of the Honours Biomedical Sciences program at Ryerson University, and a practicing Registered Practical Nurse. She has a passion for working with children and youth with disabilities and helping bridge the gap in services provided; by developing effective strategies to promote inclusion and helping break down barriers to smooth transition into adulthood where one's greatest potential can be reached. She is actively involved within her university and community through holding many volunteer and leadership positions. Driven by her personal experience living with cerebral palsy, she is also passionate and an advocate about childhood disability, research, and inclusion.
