Started atherogenesis research prior to attending UC Berkeley for undergraduate work in medical biophysics. Graduated from the University of California - California College of Medicine (Irvine) followed by primary care prevention pediatrics residency and then physical medicine rehabilitation including limited fellowship at the University of Missouri Columbia campus. Additionally board-certified in pain medicine as well as addiction medicine with an overall emphasis on lifestyle medicine during 20+ years of prior practice in the Midwest.
Discovered a correlation between lifestyle factors and cognitive function, physical performance, and sleep quality working with chronic pain population long-term.
Excited about the possibility that we have finally discovered a way of preventing both Alzheimer's and Parkinson's dementias via improved lifestyle measures.
