Dr. Patton is a Senior Research Scientist and Director of the Robotics Lab at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (Formerly The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). He is a Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Patton has a broad background in control of movement and neurorehabilitation, with over 25 years of experience in the field of robotics, biomechanics, gait, balance, motor control, and rehabilitation engineering. His work has focused on human machine interactions, adaptive human motor control, learning and rehabilitation.
