I am a postdoctoral fellow with experience in qualitative, quantitative, observational, and systematic intervention development research related to physical activity promotion and health. My research is focused on using technology to deliver transformative lifestyle behavior interventions for sustained change. My training and research experiences have provided me with a strong background in behavioral science and public health. Throughout my doctoral training, I participated in the systematic development of a mobile app to increase physical activity in cancer survivors. I contributed to the design, recruitment, administration, data analysis, and dissemination of successive studies in a unified program of research. For my doctoral dissertation project, I was awarded an NIH National Research Service Award (F31). This allowed me to launch my own research. I developed and evaluated the acceptability of the ACTive Program, a digital physical activity intervention for cancer survivors. I successfully conducted two studies that featured primary data collection (combined N = 110). This research laid the groundwork for the present application. As a postdoctoral fellow, I am receiving outstanding mentorship from Dr. Elizabeth Lyons related to aging research and cutting-edge approaches to autonomy-supportive behavioral interventions. At the time of this writing, I am one year into my postdoctoral fellowship and have contributed to 22 peer-reviewed scientific articles (11 as the first author or co-first author).
