Post Baccalaureate Researcher
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
As a child, I loved scientific discoveries. I loved to collect data (even if at that age it was in the form of rocks) and make scientific inquiries. Getting involved in a research lab in college was a way to fulfill my childhood fascinations. It is fitting that I currently work as a post-baccalaureate researcher.
My childhood interests continued to grow as I aged, leading me to Dr. Nathan Evanson’s lab where we study traumatic brain injury and traumatic optic neuropathy. In 2018, I joined the Evanson lab as an undergraduate volunteer. Eventually, my work helped me to become an author on a recent publication; studying histological outcomes of indirect traumatic optic neuropathy in adolescent mice.
I have always loved working with children and was excited to jump right into adolescent research. I continue to research in the adolescent realm with hopes of clinical translation.
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Cellular and Molecular biology, and, although I am currently working at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center, my hope is to gain acceptance into medical school where I can continue to bolster my achievements in medicine and rehabilitation.
