Physiotherapist, nurse and law graduate, she began her teaching and research work as an associate professor at the University School of Physiotherapy of the University of Valencia; she evolved through the different teaching categories. Defending the PhD doctoral thesis in 2004 and obtaining the position of university professor in 2008. She has participated as a collaborating researcher in competitive and pre-competitive research projects. In parallel, she works aas a physiotherapist in Hospital Clinici from Valencia. Her teaching-research work has focused on the field of ageing, initially developing a postgraduate course on physiotherapy in geriatrics and gerontology which, once the European Higher Education Area was implemented, became the official Master's Degree in Physiotherapy in the Processes of Aging: socio-health strategies (of which she has been the director since its creation to the present). Regarding her research activity in the field of ageing and physiotherapy, she has supervised over fifteen doctoral theses, which are substantiated in more than 60 publications and more than 100 contributions to international conferences.
