Dr. Giorgia Varallo, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Parma. She also works as a clinical psychologist and researcher at the Institute for Treatment and Research (IRCCS) - Istituto Auxologico Italiano where she provides individual and group CBT interventions to individuals affected by obesity and chronic pain. Her research interests focus on the role of psychological factors in chronic pain (e.g., chronic low-back pain, fibromyalgia), sleep and pain interaction, and the effectiveness of CBT-oriented interventions in promoting a higher quality of life in individuals with chronic health conditions
