Monica Stika, Ph.D., is a clinical neuropsychologist in the Hines VA Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders Unit where she conducts cognitive assessments and provides group and individual psychotherapy. In addition to work in SCI, Dr. Stika is point of contact for mental health pre-transplant evaluations where she answers and delegates consults to the team, completes evaluations and comprehensive reports, and supervises trainees. She also manages the Hines Mental Health Clinical Data Repository. She obtained both her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a focus in neuropsychology, at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Stika’s research interests are focused broadly on aging, memory, organ transplantation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury.
