Dr. Rachael Ellison is an Assistant Professor of Psychology, and Associate DCT/Practicum Coordinator at Illinois Institute of Technology. Her current research merges her background and interest in social justice/community psychology with neuropsychology through her Socially Conscious lab. She works as a clinical neuropsychologist through Chicago Neuropsychology Group, conducting neuropsychological evaluations and cognitive rehabilitation, and serves as Chair for APA’s Division 40 Women in Neuropsychology (WIN) Committee. She completed clinical internship at the San Diego VA Medical Center (specialized rotations in neuropsychology, TBI, cognitive rehabilitation, PTSD), and post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology through Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, while also engaging in post-doctoral research at Northwestern University. Her doctoral degree in Clinical/Community Psychology focused on reducing systemic injustice and improving the lives of marginalized individuals.
