Kristen Collins, SPT is a third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy candidate in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She currently supports the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences in multiple leadership roles including serving as a class representative to the Curriculum Committee and as a class representative to the Illinois Physical Therapy Association Student Special Interest Group. In her role as a class representative to the Curriculum committee, she facilitates conversations about the current and future state of the curriculum within the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences, advocating for the importance of student input, and helping to continually improve the Physical Therapy program at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine for the students of the future. As a class representative to the Illinois Physical Therapy Association Student Special Interest Group, Kristen serves the physical therapy profession by acting as a liaison between the IPTA student leadership and current DPT students at Northwestern. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Illinois chapter. She has attended national and state conferences including the National Student Conclave, the APTA Combined Sections Meeting, and the IPTA Assembly of Representatives, corresponding the information and highlighting the importance of advocacy within the profession to current DPT students.
