Teresa has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist since graduating from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and Occupational Therapy Doctoral degree. Clinical work includes serving individuals across the lifespan from pediatrics to older adulthood. Practice areas have included inpatient, ICU, pediatric outpatient, TCU, Skilled Nursing, and home based services; wheelchair assessment and home modification assessment as specialty areas. Areas of expertise and passion include older adult rehabilitation where her clinical practice continues. Teresa joined the full time faculty at St. Catherine University in June 2020 after serving as an adjunct faculty member for 5 years. Areas of scholarship interest include; outcomes of student learning with simulation and community based learning activities, interprofessional education in preparing students ready to work across disciplines for positive patient outcomes in the field, and how occupational therapists can address health promotion and lifestyle modifications with older adults in community based settings.
